Position: Farm Hand/Equipment Operator

• Operate fertilizer application equipment to distribute fertilizers onto crops or land areas according to predetermined schedules and application rates.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safe handling, storage, and application of fertilizers.
• Calibrate and maintain fertilizer spreading equipment to achieve accurate application rates and uniform coverage.
• Monitor soil and crop conditions to determine appropriate fertilizer types and application methods.
• Collaborate with agronomists, soil scientists, and other agricultural experts to develop fertilization plans tailored to specific crops and soil types.
• Keep detailed records of fertilizer usage, application rates, and field conditions for compliance and reporting purposes.
• Conduct soil tests and analyze nutrient levels to assess fertilizer needs and make recommendations for adjustments to fertilization programs.
• Inspect fields for signs of nutrient deficiencies, pest damage, or other issues that may impact fertilizer requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fertilizer application equipment to ensure proper functioning and minimize downtime.
• Stay informed about advances in fertilizer technology, application methods, and environmental regulations to optimize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

Are You Qualified?

• Able to work overtime and occasional weekends.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be willing and able to maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements (with our assistance).
• Must be willing to submit to a DOT drug test and background.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
